A little bit about our club
We are always looking for new members for our little club, It's quite informal. You can bring a computer and show us what you know or just bring yourself and have a chat. We meet every Tuesday at the Community Centre, Junction Basnett St. & Ennismore Street. Off Eastern Avenue At the moment there are 23 of us. For quite a long while we were only 4, Tony, Ellis, Ray and myself. I've known Tony for a long time but I met the other two for the first time at The Accrington Amiga Club. When that disbanded we started this club and we gradually (and grudgingly) moved over to the PC. I started with an Acorn Atom in 1979, went onto the Amstrad (464,664,6128), then moved to the Amiga. Tony started on the Electron, (that's when our paths crossed again) working his way up to the BBC Master and then moved over to the Amiga. We have varying degrees of knowledge on the PC, from complete novices to a reasonable knowledge of the inside workings. We all started knowing nothing and being taught by others. So what we've learned we are only to glad to pass it on. We don't play games but there are no rules against it (yet!!!). We are a self help group, so if we can help each other we will. If you are only coming to try and sell something, thank you for your interest but please don't bother. We already have our suppliers. That isn't to say you can't bring your old bits, but don't expect to get much (or indeed anything) for them. As I've said we are a self help group and we help each other without thought of reward. For more information You can email:
I've had to put the email addresses in like this in an attempt to slow down the amount of spam we're getting
Or you could just drop in, there's Tea and Coffee as long as you make it yourself and it won't cost you anything the first time, but after that it will be just £1.00, that won't even buy you a pint of beer. So why not come along, what have you got to lose
